2021 Legend Fires Tour of Epynt

Port Talbot Motor Club ort Talbot Motor Club is pleased to announce that, following successfully concluded discussions with the military authority responsible for the Mynydd Epynt Training Area, the Legend Fires Tour of Epynt event will now take place on Sunday October 31st. In line with required restrictions the rally will take place entirely within the Military Ranges, and in a change to previous years - that cannot at this time be avoided - there will be no pre-rally 'Recce', and unfortunately no spectator admission. The latter is regretted of course, but that is a condition of the permission to run the event, and running the rally is at least a more encouraging sign of a return to normality for motorsport. It is hoped that the event may yet be able to be included in the WAMC Tarmacadam Series and the King of Epynt Challenge, but that is subject to ongoing discussion, and will only be confirmed on publication of the Regulations in September. Current predictions are that six or seven stages may be run, with a competitive mileage of fifty minimum. The club is greatly appreciative of the loyalty of John Stone in agreeing to remain as Sponsor of this years event, through these Pandemic blighted times, and we look forward to seeing as many competitors as possible, returning our sport and our rally to those undulating demanding and legendary ribbons of asphalt that snake across Mynydd Epynt.
