2020 Rallynuts Tour of Epynt POSTPONED

Port Talbot Motor Club regrets to announce that following a decision by the governing body Motorsport UK to suspend all permits the Rallynuts Tour of Epynt can no longer take place on the scheduled date.

Our organising team will now be discussing a future date with the various championship officials in which the rally was included, though we anticipate that a date late in 2020 may be likely.
Our entry secretary will be in contact with all entrants to carry out refund procedures in respect of entry fees.

Port Talbot Motor Club is pleased to once again be invited to organise what will be the second round of the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Championship of 2020, the ‘Tour’ having been a part of the National Asphalt Series through many permutations, and a revitalised series that promises to return the new Championship to the very top of British rallying.

We are of course delighted to be the sole selected Epynt rally for this coming year, and to again work with our Sponsors Rallynuts, one of the major players in the international motoring and motorsporting retail world.

The event is included in the JD Tyres Welsh National Tarmacadam Championship, the Promotive Engineering Group King of Epynt Challenge, the Independent Paint Supplies Rally Challenge, and the ANWCC Stage Rally Championship, and Port Talbot Motor Club welcomes competitors in all these worthy Championships/series to the event.

Due to an unfortunate and unknown booking of our tradition Llandovery hotel base on the new event date the rally Documentation and Signing On will now be held within the Military Camp at Sennybridge in the location known as ‘The Square’, by kind permission of the Military Authorities, to whom we express our thanks. The Start and Finish will be on the MOD Ranges, Service will be at the usual central ‘Quarry’ location on the military ranges, and the Awards Presentation will also be held in the Service Area - that will permit Competitors and Teams to make the journey home earlier than usual, and that we hope will assist you.

The Brecon Tourist Office advises The White House Hotel, Abercamlais Arms , Shoe makers Arms Pentrebach, The Usk & Railway Inn, The Tanners Arms, and the Glan Usk Café as all convenient to Sennybridge for food & drink.

The event will provide the best stages available over the legendary undulating roads that flow over the military roads of Mynydd Epynt, with around seventy stage miles included in the route that will include seven stages with an emphasis on longer stages.

We on the organising team welcome you, look forward to receiving your entry to the event, and wish you an enjoyable and most importantly a safe day of motorsport, and to seeing you all again for the Saturday 11th of April 2020, as the RALLYNUTS Tour of Epynt continues the reputation forged since its days as a pioneering rally on these military roads way back in the ‘sixties.
